For nearly 10 years, Robyn Hankerson worked at Bitner Goodman/Goodman Public Relations, one of South Florida’s top public relations, marketing and advertising agencies. She created and publicized events to help increase visibility, drive traffic and further brand her clients, including Tri-Rail, Winn-Dixie, Sawgrass Mills and its sister properties in California, Texas, Colorado and Arizona, in addition to former Miami Dolphin John Offerdahl’s Gridiron Grill-Off, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Holy Cross Hospital and more. During her time with the agency, Hankerson developed a specialty in crisis communications. She worked behind the scenes with media on several crises, including the tragic death of actress/model Anna Nicole Smith. Her myriad of experience in PR, marketing, branding, special events, community relations, social media and advertising has helped her successfully manage several brands and position them as the preferred choice in their category. She’s a proud alumnus of The University of Florida and serves as immediate past president of the University’s Association of Black Alumni – South Florida Chapter. In addition, she was a part of the inaugural class of New Leaders Council Broward in 2014 and currently serves as an advisory board member. She is currently a member of member of the Broward Education Foundation Board of Directors and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She was also recognized as one of Legacy Magazine’s “40 Under 40.” Currently, she works as Director of Communications & Media Relations at Johnson & Wales University.
